A second source usually does not fail because the silicon is wrong. It fails at the receiving dock: the marking does not match the documentation, the reel carries mixed die revisions, the temperature grade is wrong, or nobody wrote down what was tested. This checklist is the one we run with customers who qualify our memory parts, written so your IQC team can adopt it as-is.
This is the step that qualifies the part. A datasheet comparison says a part should work; only your board says it does.
Burn-in removes the early-failure population before it reaches your line. Whatever your volume, define the screening that a supplier must perform and require the record to travel with the shipment. Each lot is validated with visual, electrical and functional checks on mainstream platforms, and ships with traceable records.
How a supplier answers these tells you more than any brochure. We answer them the same way for every enquiry:
| Document | Why your QMS needs it |
|---|---|
| Per-lot inspection record | Links the exact lot you received to the tests it passed — the evidence base for a field investigation. |
| Burn-in / screening report | Shows the early-failure population was removed before shipment, not assumed away. |
| Datasheet for the HGCHIPS part | The specification your engineers design against; should mirror the original's structure so comparisons are line by line. |
| SGS / RoHS / REACH statements | Compliance for the specific part number, required by most customers' own documentation audits. |
| Compatibility note / cross-reference row | Records which original part the device replaces and any grade or packing variants confirmed at quotation. |
Ask for the pack before the first shipment, not after an incident. A supplier who cannot produce it on request is telling you what the lot will look like.
Samples start at 10 pcs so validation happens on your board before any production commitment, and the sample cost is credited against your first production order. Stock lines dispatch in 48 hours from Shenzhen with per-lot test reports; long-lifecycle programs can be price-locked. Pricing on stock lines is typically 5–10 % below major distributor list prices — we would rather quote a defensible number than a dramatic one that fails procurement review.
Send one part number and we will return the cross reference, the parameter table and the documentation set for your IQC to review: request a quote, or search it in the cross-reference tool.
Our sample plan starts at 10 pcs, which is normally enough to run incoming inspection, functional validation on your platform and a burn-in check. For multi-rank or industrial-temperature designs we discuss the sample quantity per part number with your engineering team.
Per-lot inspection and validation records, together with datasheets and compatibility notes for the specific part number, and SGS / RoHS / REACH statements where applicable.
No. The datasheet comparison confirms that the electrical and mechanical parameters line up; functional validation on your own platform is what qualifies the part, and it should be repeated when the lot or die revision changes.
Yes. Our original-brand stock line covers Samsung, SK Hynix, Micron, Nanya and ESMT memory for urgent and end-of-life situations, which is often the right answer when the BOM cannot be changed.
