Industrial-temperature DRAM is the part of a memory line that customers ask about least often and suffer from most. Commercial −0 °C to +95 °C parts cover the overwhelming majority of board designs, so the industrial subset of most cross-reference tables is thin — and thin tables are exactly where a long-lifecycle programme gets stuck, because the part number that the design was qualified against may no longer be buyable in the grade the field requires.
This page records precisely what we hold in the industrial grade today, how the parts map to their originals, and what to verify before you qualify one. Nothing on this page is extrapolated: the figures come from the same cross-reference table that powers our public cross-reference search.
| HGCHIPS part | Maps from | Density | Organisation | Speed | Voltage | Package | Temperature grade |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HGD32G16N18I | Nanya NT5CC128M16JR-EKI | 2 Gb | 128Mx16 | DDR3-1866 | 1.35 V | VFBGA-96 | Industrial (-40~+95C) |
| HGD34G16N18I | Nanya NT5CC256M16ER-EKI | 4 Gb | 256Mx16 | DDR3-1866 | 1.35 V | VFBGA-96 | Industrial (-40~+95C) |
Both entries are x16 devices, which is the organisation most commonly requested for industrial control, gateway, metering and telecom line-card designs — boards where the DRAM sits on the same rail as the field interface and therefore inherits the wide-temperature requirement.
The two parts below are the commercial equivalents of the industrial entries above. They share density, organisation, speed grade, voltage and package, and differ only in the recorded temperature grade:
| HGCHIPS part | Maps from | Density | Organisation | Speed | Voltage | Package | Temperature grade |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HGD32G16N18 | Nanya NT5CC128M16JR-EK | 2 Gb | 128Mx16 | DDR3-1866 | 1.35 V | VFBGA-96 | Commercial (0~+95C) |
| HGD34G16N18 | Nanya NT5CC256M16ER-EK | 4 Gb | 256Mx16 | DDR3-1866 | 1.35 V | VFBGA-96 | Commercial (0~+95C) |
That contrast is the whole point of keeping both rows in the table. A buyer comparing an industrial quote against a commercial quote is often looking at the same physical density and a different rated range — and the difference has to be visible in the documentation, not inferred from a price.
Industrial-grade supply in our table is not limited to DDR3. Across both rails we currently record 5 entries:
| HGCHIPS part | Maps from | Density | Organisation | Speed | Voltage | Package | Temperature grade |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HGD32G16N18I | Nanya NT5CC128M16JR-EKI | 2 Gb | 128Mx16 | DDR3-1866 | 1.35 V | VFBGA-96 | Industrial (-40~+95C) |
| HGD34G16N18I | Nanya NT5CC256M16ER-EKI | 4 Gb | 256Mx16 | DDR3-1866 | 1.35 V | VFBGA-96 | Industrial (-40~+95C) |
| HGD44G16N32I | Nanya NT5AD256M16E4-JRI | 4 Gb | 256Mx16 | DDR4-3200 | 1.2 V | FBGA-78/96 | Industrial (-40~+95C) |
| HGD48G16N32I | Nanya NT5AD512M16C4-JRI | 8 Gb | 512Mx16 | DDR4-3200 | 1.2 V | FBGA-78/96 | Industrial (-40~+95C) |
| HGD48G16N26I | Nanya NT5AD512M16C4-HRI | 8 Gb | 512Mx16 | DDR4-2666 | 1.2 V | FBGA-78/96 | Industrial (-40~+95C) |
For designs that need both the memory and the power rail covered, our ADI µModule compatible line is engineered to the same second-source principle: PIN2PIN replacement, lot-level test documentation, and a quoted answer within 24 business hours.
Inside our table the industrial equivalents of the Nanya originals carry an added trailing I: the commercial
NT5CC128M16JR-EK corresponds to NT5CC128M16JR-EKI, and NT5CC256M16ER-EK corresponds to
NT5CC256M16ER-EKI. Our own-brand part numbers follow the same convention, which is why the industrial rows end in
I.
That is a convention in our table, not a manufacturer-wide rule. Suffix schemes differ between vendors and between generations, and a suffix that looks like a temperature marker can indicate a package or die revision instead. Treat the naming pattern as a search hint and confirm the grade against your own approved-vendor list and the supplier's documentation.
We do not claim that an industrial-grade entry is a differently designed die from its commercial counterpart, and we do not publish temperature-performance curves for parts we have not characterised. What we can stand behind is what our table records: the density, organisation, speed grade, voltage, package and rated range of each entry, plus lot-level test records for the shipment in question. If a design needs a claim beyond that, say so in your enquiry and we will tell you whether we can support it.
HGCHIPS stocks two industrial-temperature DDR3 parts rated -40 C to +95 C: a 2 Gb 128Mx16 and a 4 Gb 256Mx16, both DDR3-1866 at 1.35 V in VFBGA-96. Minimum order is 10 pcs, sample cost is credited against the first order, and each shipment carries lot-level inspection and validation records.
In our cross-reference table the industrial entries are rated -40 C to +95 C, against 0 C to +95 C for the commercial entries. Of 245 memory pages, 5 are recorded as industrial: 2 DDR3 and 3 DDR4.
We do not make that claim either way. What we can verify is the rated range recorded for each entry in our table and the lot-level test documentation supplied with the shipment. Buyers who need a die-level statement should ask the original manufacturer.
Two densities are recorded in our table today: 2 Gb (128M x 16) and 4 Gb (256M x 16), both DDR3-1866 in VFBGA-96. The commercial-grade equivalents of both are also in the table, which makes grade-by-grade comparison straightforward.
In our table the Nanya industrial equivalents add a trailing I - NT5CC128M16JR-EK becomes NT5CC128M16JR-EKI, and NT5CC256M16ER-EK becomes NT5CC256M16ER-EKI. Our own-brand part numbers follow the same convention. This is our table convention, not a manufacturer-wide rule, so always confirm against your own AVL.
